Boy, was I glad to see these two again! They booked me what seems like ages ago. I absolutely love engagement sessions as an opportunity to get to better know my clients. In Gloria and Michael’s case, I learned these two can WORK a camera! They selected Riley Farm in Yucaipa for their engagement shoot. Location plays a huge role in photography and I couldn’t have been happier with all the grounds had to offer. Although about 30 minutes into the shoot, one of the farm employees came up to us and said they would be closing shortly and to please be careful because there had been cougar sightings. We were out before sunset and fortunately did not run into any wild animals! I can’t wait for their June wedding!

Rachael + CameronNovember 19th, 2011You know someone like this. She’s so pretty, and fun, and sweet you kind of want to hate her, but you can’t help but be so happy you’re friends with her! You know someone like this. She’s so pretty, and fun, and sweet you kind of want to hate her, but you can’t help but be so happy you’re friends with her! Such is the case with Rachael of Charmed Beauty, who worked her hair and makeup magic for me a few weeks ago for my portrait shoot. I absolutely jumped at the chance to do a shoot with her and Cameron in Anaheim! These two were so much fun to work with – easy-going and sickeningly photogenic. Thanks for the incredibly shoot, guys! Enjoy!
Rachael…stop being so pretty. It’s making me mad ;)
Total cuteness ahead!

We ventured off to a woody location as the sun was setting…the light wasn’t the best here, but I love the photos! So sweet and intimate. I always encourage couples to bring “props” so long as they fit their personalities. In this case, I can attest that Cameron can play the guitar, and play it well!
Cameron was showing Rachael how to play a little guitar in these photos…I just love them!

Ashley + EricJune 2nd, 2011My engagement session with Ashley + Eric was one of those shoots where they interacted so naturally I hardly had to say a word :) No joke, if you are a client of mine, you will likely hear during a session, “Okay, look at each other lovingly,” or “Kiss like you MEAN it!” Ashley + [...] |

Ashley actually found me through the OpLove organization. I’m always thrilled to work with military couples. And I worked with this great pair just in time, as they are moving shortly!
Ashley + Eric, thank you for such a wonderful session. I know you have a great future ahead of you!
See what I mean? Total cuteness!
I shot the engagement session along Shady Canyon in Irvine – an absolutely perfect location if you’re looking for fields or a nature setting!

Ashley has THE prettiest eyes!

Total cuteness, these two!
Jenn has THE best smile…she can light up an entire room (or alley, in this case)!

LOOOOOOOOVE this one!

I don’t typically do a lot of night shooting. I just don’t love the look of flash. However, I DO love dramatic lighting and we stuck around to get a few nighttime portraits. I love how these turned out using the lamps and headlights!

Tiffany + EddieJanuary 31st, 2011I had an amazing time shooting Tiffany + Eddie’s engagement session in Laguna Beach. I know it’s always intimidating to have a camera in front of your face, and Tiffany later let me know how nervous they were. I know it’s always intimidating to have a camera in front of your face, and Tiffany later let me know how nervous they were. It’s one of my favorite aspects of this job, actually, helping people to realize you don’t need to be Gisele to look amazing in your pictures. I think Tiffany and Eddie prove that!
Like, REALLY prove it. Tiffany has THE most gorgeous eyes! I love the color! Her beautiful makeup was done by Jeanne at So Cal Airbrush Makeup.

One of my very favorites…I always love me some sun flare! I’m so looking forward to your September wedding, Tiffany + Eddie!

Leticia + RichardJanuary 9th, 2011I had a wonderful time photographing Leticia + Richard for their engagement photographs. They are friends with Christina + Mike, and I am always flattered to get a referral from a past client! Their session was at Peters Canyon Park, which was a lot greener due to all the recent rain. |

Leticia has THE most gorgeous eyes! I could have taken pictures of her eyes all day!

Sometimes I say weird things while shooting. I have the picture in my head, but getting it out is another story. In this photo, I said, “Okay…Vogue it!” Luckily, I think Leticia and I speak the same language :)
I truly have the best clients, or should I say the most adventurous! There was a sort of ditch area with lots of tall greenery, but getting down it meant walking down a steep slope. Leticia didn’t mind at all with her heels! I’m really happy with how these came out :)

I think I told a really funny joke here…
A pretty silhouette shot to end the session! Thank you for a wonderful shoot, Leticia + Richard! You guys rocked it!
