I always get a little nervous when sessions are booked somewhat close to the baby’s birth date. In Shilpa and Jignesh’s case, I should not have worried: we could see their hospital from where we were shooting at Shady Canyon in Irvine! These two were an absolute pleasure to work with, incredibly kind and excited for the arrival of their baby girl, which will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family!

How gorgeous is Shilpa?I have to end the session with this photo…we found a little grassy area and my first thought was to have them lie down together! A little untraditional, but I love how it turned out!

Well, I’ll tell ya…I do pride myself as an extremely fast photo editor. I am just as anxious to get to the photos as my subjects are, if not more so! But I do have to admit this is rare, posting a shoot just a day after a session! And I’d have to say that’s because of how great my session was with Rebekah + Dan!

Being in front of the camera is always intimidating, but you really wouldn’t know with these two. I love the images captured in this maternity session – a mixture of the gentleness that is becoming a mother, combined with Rebekah + Dan’s obvious love for one another.  We took these pictures in the back bay of Newport, which ended up being a BEAUTIFUL setting!

I love that I’m getting the opportunity to do more maternity sessions! Amber contacted me pretty early in her pregnancy to get this set up. In my opinion, we took the pictures at JUST the right time – I mean, look at how perfect this belly is!

It’s sickening, really ;) As is how pretty Amber is!

Amber had this GREAT idea to bring pickles + ice cream as a theme into the shoot! I loved it! It’s great working with such fun and inventive clients.

I love maternity sessions! You take a beautiful setting, a beautiful woman, and that “I’m about to be a mom” glow and the photos are DESTINED to come out…well, beautiful! I had a wonderful time shooting H, in no small part because she’s gorgeous! She also worked with my crazy self, standing up, sitting down, walking across the field…all in platform sandals. Thank you for an amazing shoot, enjoy the photos!
