The day of the shoot was Cristale + Caleb’s second anniversary! So I had to get a shot of their rings :)

The first thing Olivia said to me when we met at Woodfield Park in Aliso Viejo was, “Faith just had her nap and feeding.” That was entirely evident by the sweet, gummy smiles Faith was sending my way! Olivia also brought along her mother to act as designated baby entertainer throughout the shoot, and she did a FABULOUS job!
Olivia’s husband is currently deployed, and should be returning in September. I was thrilled to be able to take these pictures! Olivia’s also due with another little one (a brother for Faith!) in August :)

Like every newborn shoot, I took the pictures in the family home, which is always best, for both the baby and parents! Sydney was awake the entire shoot! The wans won a free photo shoot in my portrait session contest, and subsequently, last weekend I made the trek out to Pasadena to shoot them. Oh, the wans are so much fun! One might even say they’re wanderful. The wans won a free photo shoot in my portrait session contest, and subsequently, last weekend I made the trek out to Pasadena to shoot them. I had actually never been to the Pasadena city hall area and it really was beautiful! We found a lot of great spots to shoot within a very small area. I’d love to return there for an engagement session (hint, hint!)

I love these two images! You know, the reality of working with a three-year-old is THEY’RE in charge, not you :) So you can beg, cajole, sing, but sometimes, they just do what they want to do. And I think it’s really cute! It’s what keeps it real. We were going for an Abbey Road type image here:
Best for last! I love doing jumping shots. And well, let’s just say one of the wans has a bit of jumping (read: cheerleading) experience in her past. Can you figure out which one? ;)
