Ali + Stephen: San Clemente Wedding

It’s such a joy to be able to capture a couple’s love on their wedding day. Equally as touching to me is seeing the love and support of family and friends. Ali and Stephen’s wedding was no different. I visited the site of their ceremony and reception the day before the wedding, which was to take place at Brian and Barbara’s house in San Clemente, friends of Ali’s mother. It was so sweet to see everyone pitching in to get ready for the big day. Even then, you could  feel how excited and invested everyone was in coming together and making the day special.

The wedding day was a beautiful, sunny day, but even more beautiful was watching Ali and Stephen commit themselves to each other in a touching (and funny!) ceremony in front of their closest family and friends. And as for the reception…well, let’s just say Marines know how to have a good time! ;)

Ali and Stephen, it was an honor to capture your day, and I know you have a wonderful future ahead of you!

I just love seeing family members react to the ceremony.  This image of Ali’s mother and stepfather is so sweet!

As Ali and Stephen left the ceremony, the Marines performed a sword ceremony, bringing the swords down in pairs so the newly married couple could pass. It was very cool to watch, and quite a way to exit!

I don’t think Marines cry, but I believe this is the closest they get.

I love this photo of Stephen. He was standing there for awhile, watching Ali do her thing on the dance floor.
