Kayleen + Micah: Coto de Caza Wedding

I have loved this couple since we first met! Kayleen + Micah have one of the cutest getting-together stories I have ever encountered, and one that was in fact re-told during their wedding ceremony! Kayleen’s mom and Micah’s mom work together. Over the course of various conversations at work, they found out they had kids of similar age, and had a great idea that perhaps their respective kids might hit it off. They somehow convinced Kayleen + Micah that this would be a great idea, and a date was set. Well, it turns out Kayleen was running a little late, but thank goodness Micah waited, because it was a perfect match! I was honored to shoot their Rancho Santa Margarita engagement session, and even more excited to shoot their Coto de Caza wedding!

They both started off in separate areas of Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club to get ready.

Their first look was right on the grounds – my favorite part was how much time they spent checking each other out! ;) Right after the first look, we did some portraits with the two of them before the ceremony.

They are simultaneously sweet to one another, while making each other laugh! I absolutely love their natural interaction! :)

Their ceremony could not have been more beautiful! A lot of thought went into the elements they created and shared with their wedding day guests.

Married! :)

I love when a couple brings some of their personal interests from their lives into their wedding details. Micah is an archer, and they integrated that passion into helping their guests find their seats! They also have a few cats and included more than a few details in homage to their furry family members :)

After the ceremony, we had access to the Coto de Caza grounds to get some more portraits of the newlyweds. The sun cooperated by coming out briefly to light the two of them right at the end of the session!

I had so much fun taking pictures of these two! I could have followed them around all day, but we had a reception to get to! :)

They had some pretty sweet moves…

Followed by a very sweet father/daughter dance…

And toasts by their loved ones…

Everyone got to know Kayleen + Micah a little better during the reception! They had a slideshow as well as the “shoe game” to see how well they knew each other!

Congratulations, Kayleen + Micah!

We shot a wedding at Coto de Caza earlier this year – such a stunning venue! We love their outdoor reception space!
