When Annette of Mosaic Bride Magazine sent me the inspiration details for a Pala Mesa wedding styled shoot earlier last year, I couldn’t have been more excited. Pala Mesa is, first of all, a gorgeous wedding venue set in Fallbrook. They have a beautiful outdoor tented space for receptions, and plenty of space surrounding the reception area for amazing wedding photos. Secondly, the wedding inspiration was to-die-for! Several tables were going to be shown during this shoot. The first few had tropical-styled motifs that showed both budget and high-end styling options. This is where we started shooting, underneath Pala Mesa’s iconic bell tower.
Amanda at Ivory & Lace Creative took ownership of the styling for this portion of the shoot. I must say, the bright florals and palm-frond linens made me feel like drinking a mai tai!
I loved these linens by BBJ Linens – they fit perfectly in the theme! The floating candles were a perfect way to surround the centerpiece without adding a lot to the table’s budget.
This portion of the shoot took place inside of Pala Mesa’s tented reception space. The head table here typically backs up to a gorgeous waterfall – a perfect backdrop! I LOVED the bright jewel tones featured in this part of the shoot! It might be because my own wedding day colors were orange, pink and green :) These colors just have a way of making you feel happy! And that’s what weddings are all about, right?
Fifi at Finicky Flowers absolutely knocked the floral design out of the park here! I just loved the gorgeous centerpiece here and the way it pulled inspiration from the linens.
Elegance on Display created this neon-hued cake! I loved the sponge application of the orange and pink layered over the white frosting. It was such a beautiful cake and fit in perfectly with the shoot! Almost too beautiful to eat – almost!
The head table setting featured gold utensils, a bright purple floral-inspired charger, and gold-rimmed plates. So elegant and bright!
I loved these laser-cut Mrs and Mr signs applied to the back of the chair! These were created by Vital Signs NW.
The happy couple at the head table :)
This gold basket with placecards set in a bed of jewels was all Annette’s inspiration! A very cool way for guests to figure out where they are seated!
I love a layered corsage for the groom!
ACTION SHOT of the fabulous Tammy of TG Hair & Makeup! I’ve worked with her several times and she always does an outstanding job, and is really on top of hair and makeup trends! You’ll see the gorgeous way she weaves florals through Kielle’s hair later.
This shoot featured some two-piece dresses from Jaime Elyse. Pala Mesa has a beautiful staircase which allowed us to show off the gorgeous sweep of the skirt. Kielle kept the same top but changed into a tulle skirt later in the shoot. This is a great option for the bride who wants to change up her reception look without buying two dresses!
The second portion of the shoot featured a luxe tropical-styled table again designed by Amanda at Ivory & Lace Creative. I love the mix of textures and patterns on this table. One of my favorite details are the gold pineapples, which Amanda spray-painted herself!
Hello gorgeous light!
Lawn games are always a hit! While the bride and groom may be off getting pictures during cocktail hour, your guests can have a blast playing with lawn games provided by Bailey’s Garden Party Rentals. This was most definitely the models’ favorite part of the shoot :)
