There are so many decisions when it comes to planning your wedding, from the venue to the cake design! One of the toughest is the wedding photographer. How do you find a photographer that’s a perfect fit for you? What should you be considering when making your decision? Below are some of the reasons why couples have chosen Courtney McManaway Wedding Photography to capture their wedding day memories.
Most couples are understandably nervous at the thought of getting in front of a camera. You also want to feel and look like yourselves on your wedding day. Besides capturing moments as they unfold, I focus on helping couples feel natural, relaxed, and have fun when they’re together! You don’t have to worry about what you should be doing once the camera is on you, because I’m there to help you feel comfortable and enjoy each other’s company!
“My husband had had virtually no professional photos taken of him before our e-pics, and Courtney did such a great job making him feel comfortable and getting him to be affectionate and simply “normal” with me…I’m tearing up now as I think about how she gave us just enough direction to get us in the right places then just let us be us, and we totally forgot about the cameras.” -Claire + Michael, Wiens Cellars Wedding, Temecula
Every wedding day features similar events, such as the ceremony, reception, and grand entrance. What YOU bring to your wedding day is what will ultimately make the day unique. I love capturing mom’s face seeing her daughter in her dress for the first time, the groom’s expression as the bride walks down the aisle, the tears and laughs shared during the first dance. Your wedding day moves so fast – seeing these personal moments in your wedding gallery will bring back your wedding day every time you view your photos.
“Courtney McManaway Photography went above and beyond on our engagement shoot and wedding day, my husband and I could not be happier. She captured every moment and made our day so special and memorable.”
-Tina + Cory, Aliso Viejo Country Club Wedding
A wedding day is not just about a bride and groom, but two sides of a family coming together. While my clients primarily hire me for my artistic vision, traditional images with those you love shouldn’t be discounted. I help to make this part of the day painless by working with the bride and groom to create a suggested family formals list. This helps the process go that much more quickly so everyone can get back to celebrating ASAP! :)
“If you need any photography service, Courtney McManaway is the one!!! I would give her 10 stars if I can!
We had Courtney and her team to do our wedding photos. What can I say, the minute I started talking to her, all the way til a couple months after the wedding, she has been the best experience I have ever had!!! Wedding can be very stressful, especially on the wedding day. But Courtney and her team did everything and beyond of what I can possibly expect…If I need any other photography service in the future; for my baby, or to recommend to another friend, I won’t even look any further. I will always come back to Courtney!”
– Snow + Aaron, Chapel of Orange Wedding, Orange
Photographers describe their lighting styles in different ways, such as “natural light photographer.” While natural light is my preferred way of capturing the bride and groom, I am well-versed in flash and indoor lighting as well. I consider myself an “all kinds of light” photographer! My bride and groom clients know by hiring Courtney McManaway Photography, they are assured beautiful images of their wedding day, regardless of lighting conditions.
“From the moment we met with Courtney we knew she was a perfect fit! It’s important to feel comfortable around your wedding photographer and with Courtney that was never a problem! We really could not be happier with our wedding photos. They really bring us back to that day and capture the moments beautifully. Just the other day our next door neighbor said that our wedding pictures were some of the most beautiful pictures he’s ever seen. I can’t help but agree!”
-Gloria + Michael, Serendipity Gardens Wedding, Oak Glen
Unlike the baker you hire to design your cake or the florist you hire to create your bouquet, when you are hiring a photographer, you are primarily hiring their services. And if there’s one thing I pride myself on, it’s excellent customer service! My clients have a very clear outline of what is to come once they choose Courtney McManaway Photography. I share links to full portfolios, bring a sample agreement with me to all consults, and let them know what the timeline looks like for posting their wedding day or engagement session, designing their album, and final image delivery, among other products and services. I share all of this information not only because I want brides and grooms 100% happy in their choice of wedding photographer, but also so there are no surprises either pre- or post-wedding.
“Courtney was amazing – Kevin and I were so pleased with her work, quality, timeliness, professionalism, and overall everything about her. You can tell she truly cares about her clients. I dealt with many vendors while planning our wedding and there isn’t a single vendor that I would recommend more than Courtney!”
-Stacy + Kevin, Arroyo Trabuco Country Club Wedding, Mission Viejo
You shouldn’t take my word for it – refer to my previous bride and groom clients to get their take on working with Courtney McManaway Photography, compiled in my Testimonials section! Up-to-date reviews can also be seen on my Wedding Wire storefront.
“My wife and I had the chance to work with Courtney and her staff for our wedding at the end of last year. Courtney was fantastic. She was caring, professional, and really worked well with us to make sure our best moments were captured. I would definitely recommend Courtney’s services to any person looking to work with a photographer who cares for her clients needs and wishes. I can honestly say that looking back at the pictures speaks volumes about the quality of service we were provided.”
-Marissa + Dennis, The Grand Long Beach Wedding
When searching for a wedding photographer myself as a bride, I found the process very confusing. Nothing, it seems, is standard when it comes to wedding photography pricing!
As a photographer, I aim to provide a combination of what clients both need and want in my base package.
- 7 hours of continuous coverage on your wedding day is sufficient for most brides and grooms.
- I strongly believe in having two photographers cover your wedding. This ensures the day you have carefully planned gets the advantage of having two talented photographers capturing every emotion and detail. My second shooter and I often split up throughout the day as it moves very fast and this ensures you have comprehensive coverage. I also haven’t met a client yet who didn’t prefer to have more images upon delivery of files! ;)
- A gallery with downloadable high-resolution files that come with a print release.
My base photography package is $2,500 and includes everything mentioned above. Albums and engagement sessions are also available a la carte. Part of my services is a consult to determine what your unique needs are as a client! Some clients need more hourly coverage or want a beautiful 12×12 flushmount album through which to remember their day. The great thing about my pricing model is it provides flexibility! You are not locked into specific packages that may not meet your needs.
